She was a talented artist and restorer of antique furniture. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren whom she spoiled rotten at every opportunity. The highlight of each year was her trip to the family reunion where all night was spent talking and laughing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Odell Vaughn her sisters, Ruth Hulse, Oleta Fairchild and Emily Forman and her brother, Wallace Kimbrough.
She is survived by her children, Donald Vaughn Jr., Mary Dunlap Garry and David Vaughn Rhonda grandchildren, Mallory McDow, Brittany Vaughn, Gerron Vaughn, Grace Vaughn, Rob Watson, Bryan Watson and Brantly Watson and her sister, Mary Rusk.
We would also like to give special thanks and love to mothers sister Mary Rusk who lovingly cared for her prior to her care at Buena Vida.
We offer a special thank you to the staff at Buena Vida Nursing and Rehab who became like family to us, but especially to Mother. They loved her and cared for her and grieve with us.
