Glenn Doyle Lawrence, age 77, was born May 15, 1931, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Glenn H. Lawrence and Helen C. Baxter. He passed away June 27, 2008, surrounded by family and friends.BRDoyle married Mary Wynona Nonie Bradley on December 3, 1950, in Brownfield, Texas. Doyle worked as operations manager for Shell Oil, residing in several locations including overseas assignments and retired in 1990.
BRDoyle was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
BRDoyle is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nonie Lawrence; three daughters: Rhonda Burke and her husband SGM Patrick Burke of Odessa, Renee Werner and her husband Bill of Brownfield and Rachelle Herrick of Odessa; five grandchildren: Lisa Josselet of Ft. Worth, Shanda Josselet of Odessa, Scott Werner and his wife Kara of Abilene, Brent Werner of San Marcos and Britni Herrick of Odessa; two great-grandchildren: Kale James of Ft. Worth and Branson Werner of Abilene; two brothers: Johnny Lawrence of Chamberino, New Mexico and Gary Lawrence and his wife Janet of Messilla Park, New Mexico; Brothers and sisters in law: R.A Bradley and his wife Marie of Lubbock, Peggy Barnett and her husband Glen of Water Valley, Doyle Bradley and his wife Patsy Kay of Centennial, Colorado, Delbert Bradley and his wife Carol Ann of Loop and Reudell Wilkie and her husband Troy of Brownfield.
BRPallbearers will be Johnny Josselet, Bradley Barnett, Derek Barnett, Scott Werner, Brent Werner and Boyce Kennedy.
BRVisitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday June 29, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel, 6801 East Business 20 in Odessa.BRBRFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday June 30, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Galindo, pastor of Sherwood Church of Christ presiding with Doyles brother in law, Delbert Bradley assisting. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
