It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Durward Kent Gantz of Odessa, Texas passed on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Odessa Regional Medical Center at age 61.

He worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Gulf, Chevron, Coastal Management, Schlumberger, Conoco Phillips, and Concho and had recently retired three months ago.
Kent Gantz was a man that loved his family and loved nature and the combination of the two is what truly made up his life. Between his hunting trips with his father and brother to the long jeep rides through Colorado with his wife and kids, the mountains were a part of his life. Through the many years that were spent in Odessa he would teach his children and his children's children to plant, garden, and can wonderful fruits and veggies.
Kent Gantz was the type of man that would come over to watch football, fix your car or whatever else he was handy with. He loved to spend time with friends and loved ones as well as pass on his skills and knowledge. A Man to the Rescue! A truly loveable man!
