Dwayne Carpenter

Dwayne Allen Carpenter, 71, of Odessa Texas passed away on November 22nd, 2012 at his home in Odessa.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26th, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Dwayne was born in Colorado City Texas to Oren and Coryie Carpenter on July 21st, 1941. He married Carolyn Sue Banks on July 14th, 1962 in Midland, Texas and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this last summer.

Dwayne served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962, going through basic training in Fort Hood Texas and serving in Germany afterwards. He was employed by the Huntsman corporation, and several previous owners, holding multiple positions in maintenance and support for over 37 years. He attended Colorado City High School and took several continuing education courses related to his job over the years.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his father Oren, his mother Coryie, and his brother Lyndall.

Dwayne is survived by his wife Carolyn of Odessa TX his son and his wife Rick and Shanna Carpenter of Oceanside CA his daughter and her husband Suzy and Larry Young of Brownwood TX his brother and his wife Darrell and Brenda Carpenter of Colorado City TX 5 Grandchildren and 1 great Grandson.

Dwayne was a loving husband, dad, brother, grandpa, greatgrandpa, cousin, and uncle and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
