Edith Allen

Edith Cagle Buckalew Allen, age 96 of Odessa, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Odessa.

She was born March 18, 1917 near Proffitt, Texas to Thomas Jefferson Hudson and Lillian Coon Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her brothers J. C. Hudson and Gene Hudson her sister, Verna Lois Hudson her son, Charles Buckalew and her daughter, Brenda Harris.

Survivors include her siblings, Glenn Hudson of Throckmorton, Texas, Arlen Hudson of Sherman, Texas, Tom Hudson of Throckmorton, Texas, Jim Hudson of Commerce, Texas, Donald Ray Hudson of Seamore, Texas, Dovie Hudson of Breckenridge, Texas and Lilly Belle Cooper of Snyder, Texas her children, Neil Buckalew and daughterinlaw, Janie Buckalew of Odessa, and Carol Reeves and soninlaw Ronnie Reeves of Nashville, Tennessee. She has 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Sunset Heights Baptist Church with Jess Little officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family requests memorials be directed to Hospice House of Odessa.
