Edward Shepard

Edward Carroll Shepard was born to Audie and Gladys Enlow Shepard on September 19, 1937 in Loving, Texas. He was called to his heavenly home on August 13, 2009.

Edward married Jo Carrell on May 16, 1958 in Putnam, Texas. He retired from Rock Tool Company in Odessa after 33 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Shepard and his mother, Gladys Shepard Musgrave. His three daughters, Trena and husband Gaylon Morgan, Tracy and husband Donnie Jones and Renee Watts, all of Odessa. He had eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also, two brothers, James Shepard and wife Anita of Odessa, Norman Shepard and wife Mildred of Graham, Texas; one sister, Hazel and husband Alvis Moore of Graham, Texas; a special sister-in-law, Oneta Bell and husband David of Eula, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

His dad, Audie and brother, Don Shepard, and nephew Terry Moore preceded him in death.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Gravesides services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, August 17, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Lon Briley officiating.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice House of Odessa. Our deepest thanks and gratitude to the marvelous caring people there, we will forever be thankful for your love and care of us, as well as for Edward.
