Edwin Calvert

Edwin "Big Ed" Calvert, of Mineral Wells, TX, passed away on December 28, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Pinky officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.

Edwin was born November 1, 1969 to Edward Calvert and Lona Calvert (Carter) in Iraan, TX. He went to Odessa College where he began his love for welding. Edwin worked as a Kutrite Specialist for Star Tool, G&L Tool Company and Basic Energy where he finished off his career. He enjoyed fishing, gambling and life in general. He never met a stranger and always made you smile. He was one to give you the shirt off his back. Most of all he loved his grandson's Liam and Wesley. They were the joy of his life.

Edwin is preceded in death by his step dad, Paul Carter, grandparents, May Evans, Edna Calvert and June Carter.

He is survived by his sons, Caleb Calvert and Bailey Garrett Calvert and wife Britney; brothers, Lee Calvert and wife Tracey, Robert Calvert and wife Toshia; mother, Lona Carter; father, Edward Calvert; grandchildren, Liam and Wesley Calvert; nieces, Haylee Wilkerson and husband Cory, Rachel Calvert; nephew, Chase Calvert and wife Brianna.

The family would like to thank everyone who called, came by, sent messages or just said a prayer. We appreciated everything.

Family will receive visitors at the home of Lee and Tracey Calvert at 4235 Candy Lane.
