Edythe Camille Talley, 86, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on November 6, 2010 at Midland Memorial Hospice.
Mrs. Talley was born in Mt. Carmel, Illinois on August 4, 1924 to Guy and Clara Middleton. She married Rex Duane Talley on March 4, 1946.
She is survived by her husband Rex Talley of Odessa and three children, Duane Talley and his wife Susan of Odessa, Ed Talley and his wife Kay of Brownwood, and Cheryl Johnson and her husband Hugh of Odessa, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Guy and Clara Middleton, son Richard Talley, and granddaughter Whitney Kay Talley of Houston. She is also survived by her brother Donald Ray Middleton of Anaheim, California, and her sister Helen Thompson of Greensburg, Indiana.
Edythe was a member of the International Porcelain Artist Teachers Association, Permian Basin Porcelain Art Club, Llano Estacado Porcelain Art Club, Order of the Easter Star, and a member of the Baptist Church. She worked as a homemaker and porcelain art teacher in her art studio at her home.
Her family has fond memories of a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Talley took great pride in her home and family, her friends, and her porcelain art. Her love of life, generosity, and kindness will be her lasting legacy to her family and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 7:008:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Talley will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Chapel. Dr. David Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden
