Effie Shepard

Jo Carrell Shepard, 78, of Odessa, passed away on May 12, 2018.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel, with her nephew, Reverend Rodney Bell, officiating. Burial will follow immediately.

Jo was born to W. H. and Marget (Wiley) Carrell on April 11, 1940 in Grosvenor, TX. She graduated from Putnam High School in 1958. She married Edward C. Shepard on May 16, 1658 in Putnam, TX. Jo was a homemaker. She was Mom, Momma Jo, and MeMe to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, Edward, brothers Rudolf Carrell, Richard Carrell, sisters Ruth Slate, Edna Parrish and Oneta Bell.

She is survived by daughters Trena & Gaylon Morgan, Tracy & Donnie Jones and Renee Shepard Watts; grandkids Tasha & Nathan White, Tessa & Chance Hodges, Tela Monroe, Tyler & Kellan Brasher, Tori Jones, Tamatha Beal & Cory Watson and Bradley & Kenna Watts; Great grandkids Nasher White, Cadence Hodges, Hannah Monroe, Ty & Lexi Brasher, Kaysonn, Kardynn, Baylor, Britton Watts and one on the way and numerous kids that called her Momma Jo.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Brasher, Ty Brasher, Bradley Watts, Cory Watson, Michael Shepard and Lynn Bell.
