Elbert Jones

Elbert Lynn Jones, age 63, of Midland, TX, passed away on January 21, 2017 in Midland.

A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Underwood officiating.

Lynn was born January 6, 1954 to Elbert Lee and Ila May Jones in Sweetwater, TX. He was raised in McCamey, TX, then moved to Snyder, TX. He moved to Midland 35 years ago in 1982. He married Cynthia Jones January 30, 1997 in Big Spring, TX. He worked as a Hotshot in the oilfield, working for G&W Trucking since 1982.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Ila May and Elbert Lee Jones, his brother, Alpha Jones.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Jones, his children, Tiffany, Elbert Leon, Christy; step children, Abraham Poland IV, Grace Poland, Amanda Powell, granddaughter, Angel Nyla Poland "Worm", his sister, Vivian and her husband, Gary Norwood, their children, Shea Norwood and his wife Briana and their child, Kaeden Norwood, Tatum Mercer and her husband, Cameron and their son, Brody Mercer, sister, Maxine Nolen of Borger, TX, nephews, Stacy Nolen, Cory Nolen, Cody Nolen and families of Borger, TX, deceased brother, Alpha Jones children, Casey Jones and Alpha Jones, Jr currently of Midland, TX; mother in law, Patricia Lizon, sisters in law, Helen Ann Walker and Kelly Jamras.

Lynn had many names Dad, Pops, Bro and Sticker.
