Eldred Osborn

Eldred Wayne Osborn, 89, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013.

Visitation is scheduled from 6PM to 8PM, Sunday at Sunset Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday at 2PM in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Touchtone, Weeks Dubose and Jess Little officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Eldred was born October 24, 1923 in Desdemona, TX to the late L.E. and Lucille Shankle.

Eldred was a member of Westwood Baptist Church since 1964. He served as Mission treasurer for 40 years. He married Myrtle Brinson. Eldred worked as a pumper in West Texas for over 40 years for Cities Service while living in Crane. He moved to Odessa in 1962.

He is preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Myrlene, granddaughter Stephanie Ruddick, brother Gene Osborn, greatgrandson, Conner Page and soninlaw, Larry Sterling, Sr.

Eldred is survived by his daughters Melanie Ward and husband Howard of San Angelo, Kay Page and husband Phillip of Odessa, Elissa Sterling of Odessa, 9 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren,and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren.
