Elida King

Elida Sanchez King, age 89, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2022.

Lida was born in Brady, Texas to Jose and Maria Sanchez on May 18, 1933. One of eleven children, she enjoyed a happy family and beloved childhood. As an adult she moved to Lamesa, Texas where she met and married BL King. They raised their children in Odessa, Texas and worked side by side in their business endeavors. Lida had a strong work ethic and great devotion to her family. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and meeting people. Lida was a friend to many and loved by all who knew her.

Lida is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, BL King, her second husband, George Dennard, and her daughter, Norma King.

Lida is survived by her son, Roger (Barbara) Ramirez, her son, James (Lila) King, four brothers and three sisters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be between 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Good Shepherd section at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
