Ellen Louise Morgan of Odessa, Texas, left this world to be with Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was born in Vera, Texas on February 16,1925, to C.A. (Crow) and Lois Nettie Parham.
She is now reunited with the love of her life Dalton, her two sons Gaines Morgan, and Dalton Morgan Jr of Odessa, Texas.
Anyone that knew or had the chance to know Louise knew she was a great blessing and a wonderful Christian woman that loved life, family, and considered others as her own. Louise was a nurse and loved taking care of her patients and as she retired, she loved to babysit as it was a great joy for her to be around children. She was a woman of many trades such as making and painting ceramics, gardening, sewing, quilting, and cooking. You could always go to her house and there was always something cooking on the stove or a sweet in the oven. Her greatest pleasure was being a wife, mother, and grandma. Oh, how she loved her family.
Those she is proceeded in death by are her mother Lois Nettie Lohman Parham and father C.A. (Crow) Parham both of Vera, TX; 5 brothers and 5 sisters, C.A. Parham of Lamesa, TX, Albert Parham of Munday, TX, Sam Parham of Lamesa, TX, Wendell Parham of Seymour, TX, Billy Joe Parham of Vera ,TX, Blanche Patterson of Seymour, TX, Amelia Taylor of Wichita Falls, TX, Connie McDonough of Midland, TX, Lois Jane Fountain of Burkburneit, TX, and Riddie Lou Gilstrap of Seymour TX; her loving, wonderful husband Dalton Morgan, and two sons Gaines Morgan and Dalton Morgan Jr. of Odessa, TX.
Those she left behind are 2 wonderful daughters-in-law Kathryn Morgan Keen of North Carolina and Donna Morgan of Odessa, TX; 5 grandkids Shelly & Michael Fowler of Kress, TX, Paul Morgan of Odessa, TX, Jaclyn & Scott Worster of Orange, TX, Toby Lefevers of Odessa, TX, James and wife Belinda Morgan Odessa, TX; 7 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and one on the way.
As you can see, she had a huge family and lots of love for each and every one of them. It was the highlight of her day to either see her family or just talk to them on the phone. Oh, and she was a talker. You could be on the phone for at least 30 minutes plus. She will be missed so much, and all of our hearts are absolutely broken but she lived 97 wonderful, happy years.
DON’T CRY FOR ME
Don’t cry for me now I have died, for I’m still here I’m by your side, My body’s gone but my soul is here, please don’t shed another tear, I am still here I’m all around, only my body lies in the ground. I am the snowflake that kisses your nose, I am the frost, that nips your toes. I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright. I am the rain, refreshing the earth, I am the laughter, I am the mirth. I am the bird, up in the sky, I am the cloud, that’s drifting by. I am the thoughts, inside your head, While I’m still there, I can’t be dead.
