Elma Smith

Elma Mae Smith, age 80, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a long bout with cancer.

She was born December 13, 1930 to Foy Satterfield and Ina Satterfield in Wheeler County, Texas.

She married TJ Smith on December 4, 1953 in Pampa, Texas. She was employed by Bell Telephone Co.

She and TJ enjoyed traveling in their motor home with the antique car club all over the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband T. J. Smith of Odessa her son Jay Smith of Killeen and daughter Cheryl Maloney of Whitney three Grandchildren Shaun Maloney, Lauren Maloney, T. J. Smith two great grandchildren Colten Maloney and Peyton Maloney.

Visitation with the family will be 4:006:00 PM Thursday July 28, 2011.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday July 29, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with John Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be members of the Permian Basin Oil Burners including, Harold McKelvain, Sheril Berryhill, Bill Gambell, Gene Austin, Gary Young, BD Berryhill, Carl Chambers, James Solomon
