Elva Molinar Espinoza, 83 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in Odessa, TX.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (6801 E. Business 20, Odessa, TX).
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Elva was born in Alpine, Texas to Vicente and Candelaria Molinar on September 28, 1937. She went to school in Alpine, TX. Elva was married to Leo Espinoza in August 1957 in Alpine, TX. She graduated from Alpine High School. Elva later moved to Odessa, TX where she worked as a salesclerk for Walmart for 21 years.
She attended church faithfully at Parker Heights Christian Church and also Odessa Christian Faith Center, and at times attending both services on Sundays, only stopping to eat a snack in between services.
Elva is preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Candelaria Molinar; brothers, Ramon Molinar, Victoriano Molinar, and Jose Molinar; sister, Amparo Gallego; and also, Elva’s son, Sam Espinoza.
Elva is survived by her children, Yvonne Espinoza, Leo Glenn Espinoza, Melissa (Ruben) Alvarado all of Odessa, TX, and Candie Torres of Alpine, TX; brother Joe Molinar of San Antonio, TX; sister, Alicia Portillo of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Brandi Aguilar, Jennifer Espinoza, Sammy Espinoza, Jr., Katie Rangal, Logan Ashton Wood, Jessica Espinoza, Joe Vicente Espinoza, Christopher John Espinoza, Kimberly Alvarado, and Andrea Jennings; and great grandchildren, Brian Aguilar, Deavon Aguilar, Richie Aguilar, Anthony Rodriguez, Hope Rodriguez, Angelique Rodriguez, Kaitlynn Alvarado, and Teagan Jennings.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Espinoza, Joe Espinoza, Josh Garza, Brian Rangal, Richard Aguilar, and Sammy Espinoza.
The family of Elva Molinar Espinoza wishes to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Home Hospice and staff, sitter Edith Arriaga, Pastor Mark Bristow, and our extended family for assisting us through these difficult times in our mother’s life.
