Elvaleene Mcpherson

Elvaleene McPherson, age 81, of Odessa, passed away in her home on January 31, 2015 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on February 4, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Clydell Chapman of North Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Elvaleene was born in Big Spring, Texas to Jesse and Elva Lee White on September 5, 1933. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1952. She married Jimmy Wade McPherson on January 1, 1953 in Odessa, TX. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Elvaleene's greatest joys in her life were her sons and her family. She loved everyone and her home was always open to anyone in need. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Elvaleene is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wade McPherson and her mother Elva Lee Redding, who passed August 1, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy McPherson of Odessa, Mike McPherson and his wife Joyce of Odessa, Jimmy Dale McPherson of Odessa; sister, Petti and Kari Redding of Austin; Grandchildren, Bobbi Jo and Bernd Schmalz of Austin, Joe and Jeannie Gallia of Odessa, Joshua McPherson of Waco, TX, Tasha and Douglas Craft of Odessa, Jeromy McPherson of Odessa, Dylan McPherson of Odessa, Devon McPherson of Odessa; 13 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Granddaughter and 2 nieces.
