Emma was born in San Pedro del Gallo, Durango, Mexico to Arturo and Adela Astorga on August 21, 1945. She attended school in San Pedro del Gallo. She married Simon S. Martinez in April of 1966. She worked as a housekeeper most of her life. She raised four boys and instilled the values we have today and are incredibly grateful for her. She was one of the humblest persons you would ever meet and go out of her way to help anyone. One of her greatest attributes was her cooking. No one would leave her house without being engulfed with her delicious authentic homemade Mexican food. Overall, she was an extraordinary person and loved by many. We will cherish these great memories of her the rest of our lives until will meet her again.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents Arturo and Adela Astorga. Her brothers Arturo, Adolfo, Armando, and Hector Astorga. Her sisters Hortencia Gratton, Catalina Calderon, Estela Cosio, and other relatives (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins).
