Eric Swinford

Eric Reid Swinford, 55, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Hospice House in Odessa, TX.

Eric was born on April 3, 1957 in El Paso to Caroline Marie Jaggers Swinford and James Dale Swinford. He married Maelsa Santos on March 14, 2009 in Odessa. He was an inventor who held two U.S. Patents, an accomplished mechanic, and a barbecue master.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Jimmy Braswell officiating. Visitation will follow service.

Eric is survived by his wife, Maelsa Swinford of Odessa sons, Kevin and Aaron Swinford of Odessa daughter, Erica Howard of San Antonio brother, Gary Swinford of El Paso granddaughters, Bailey Lindenberg and Marley Swinford of Odessa niece, Crystle Swinford of Lubbock and nephews, Shane of Lubbock and James Jr. Swinford of Oakhurst.
