Esequiel “Zeke” David Roman, 26, of Odessa, Tx, passed away tragically on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Andrews, Tx.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Visitation for Zeke will be held on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, in the afternoon as well as the rosary to be held at 6:30 pm the same evening. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Odessa with Father Francis officiating. The burial will immediately follow services at Ector County Cemetery.
Zeke was born on September 09, 1997, to Rene Carrasco Roman of Gardendale, Tx and Sophia Valles of Odessa, Tx. He graduated from Crane High School and New Mexico Junior College with a certification in lease operations. He worked in the oilfield industry as a wellhead technician and a hotshot driver.
Zeke was a die-hard ride or die for his family and friends. He was known for his big, beautiful smile and big loving heart. He had the ability to make anyone laugh and feel loved. He lived his life to the fullest and left no stone unturned. Zeke was respectful and very helpful to others. He also liked to reach out and make people feel like they belonged. He was very involved in the flag football and softball communities. He loved sports wagering, card games and video gaming.
Zeke is survived by his parents; his sisters, Adrienna Munoz Villarreal (Hector) of Corpus Christi and Raquel Valles Míreles (Alberto) of Midland, Tx. His paternal grandparents, Efrain and Eva Roman of Andrews, Tx. His pride and joy were his nieces and nephew, Giselle, Mateo, Sophia and Arye. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of nephew, Alberto Jr. He has several uncles, aunts and cousins who loved him very much.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be: Alex Salcido, Josue Salcido, Joey Villarreal, Mark Flores, Enrique Hernandez, Josh Black, Mark Heredia, Mateo Villarreal, Hector Villarreal, Alberto Míreles, Matthew Castellón, Larry Carrasco, Manuel Valles Jr, David Valles, Saúl Román, Samuel Román, José Román, Carlos Román, Sammy Román and Mathew Román.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Judge Manuel Valles and Esperanza, his brother, Rene Roman Jr, his uncle, Vidal “Billy” Valles, his cousin, Michael Castellón, and his former Stepdad, Donald “Junebug” Bishop.
The Valles/Roman families would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love whether it be through social media, calls, texts, visits, prayers, flowers or food. Your kind expressions of sympathy to show your love for Zeke and his passing is not unnoticed. Your support at this difficult time has been deeply appreciated and has brought us great comfort to all of us.
