Esther Bernal Rodriquez

Esther Rodriquez, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Odessa, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. 

Esther was born on August 30, 1962, in Pecos, Texas to Luis Sanchez Bernal and Gabina Orta Bernal. 

Esther is preceded in death by her parents; Tomas Bernal; her sisters, Rachel Maldonado and Martha Salcido; and brothers, Benjamin Bernal and Jose Luis Bernal.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Rudy Rodriquez Sr; her son, Rudy Rodriquez Jr, and wife Adriana; her daughter, Amanda Rodriquez; and grandson, Matias. Her sisters, Rebecca Guerra, Naomi Booth, Mary Arenivas and husband Porfirio, and Elizabeth Allen, and husband Robert. Along with many nieces and nephews.

She dedicated 43 years of her life to Unifirst. She was a woman of faith and was a member of her church, Odessa Christian Faith Center for over 25 years. 

Esther will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her love of life and her generous heart. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be 6 to 8pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. 

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
