Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Weeks DeBose, formerly of Westwood Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Jane was born in Wheeler County, Texas to Matt and Martha Campbell on December 15, 1930. She was the baby girl of ten children and went to school in Shamrock, Texas. She lived in California for a while and then moved to Odessa where she met James C. Long. After a four month courtship, they were married on September 3, 1961 in Juarez, Mexico. She had a few different jobs before settling down and being a homemaker and mother. After her stroke, which left her unable to live the way she really wanted to love, she relocated to San Antonio but never gave up hope to returning to her home in Odessa. She never lost her sense of humor or style and will be greatly missed.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, four brother, four sisters and her husband.
Jane is survived by her brother, Bob Campbell of Amarillo, daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Stephen Hargrove of San Antonio, and grandchildren, Leighanna Goodson of San Antonio and Justin Goodson of Odessa.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Vitas Hospice of San Antonio for their wonderful care of Jane. The family also wished to thank the caring nurses and staff of Stone Oak Care Center in San Antonio.
