Etta Scott

Etta Marie Scott, age 78, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2016 in Odessa.

Marie was born May 29, 1937 in Iredell, Texas to Carl and Etta Battle. Marie moved to Odessa and she attended Odessa High school. On November 11, 1954 she married Kenneth Norman and then graduated in 1955. Kenneth passed away December 17, 1991 in San Angelo, Texas. At his passing Marie and Kenneth were already divorced. She went on to marry Robert V. Scott March 3, 1988 in Odessa, he passed February 8, 2004 in Gardendale, Texas.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by her son James Scott Norman of Odessa, daughter Janice Waldrop of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Brothers LeRoy Newman and wife Carol of Center, Texas, James Newman and wife Susan of Mount Pleasant, Texas, sisters Marlene Morris of Odessa, Florence French and Bonnie LeRoy of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Carolyn Newman of Gladewater, Texas. She also had 8 wonderful grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10:00 - 12:00 on Friday February 26, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held Friday February 26, 2016 at 1pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
