Eva Deloris White

October 13, 1948 — December 11, 2024

Odessa

Eva Deloris Bryant was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to Hildred Eugene Bryant and Chloea Faye Voyles Bryant on October 13, 1948. She was the third of four children. The family moved to Iraan, Texas, when Eva was a young child.

While in school, she met the boy of her dreams who became the man she’d love and adore the rest of her life. Eva married Orville Lee White on November 20, 1966, in Iraan, Texas. They made their home in Odessa, Texas. Together they had two sons, Richard White and Stephen White.

Many people were the recipient of her unending generosity of homemade cookies and cakes. She loved to gift loved ones their favorite baked goods on special occasions or just because. Countless friends, family, and church goers received greeting cards she faithfully sent year after year. Whether it be a birthday, holiday, sickness or sympathy, you could always count on a card from Eva. She enjoyed cross stitching and spent countless hours making beautiful projects for those she loved. Blue ribbons from the county fair adorn two of her cross-stitch pictures.

Family was important to Eva. She attended everything her sons were involved in when they were growing up. She loved to spoil her four grandkids. When they were young, she would take them for ice cream every week and always reminded them to get double scoops and all the extras to sprinkle on top. Love beamed from Eva when she was with her great grandchildren. She dearly loved her dogs and cats, too.

While her most important job was wife to Lee and mother to Richard and Stephen, Eva also worked at Goliad Elementary School as a teacher’s aide and in the workroom. She volunteered there for many years, as well. She retired from Permian Heat Treaters.

She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship. She entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
