Evan Salvador Lopez

Evan Lopez, 14, of Odessa, Texas passed away on July 9, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on July 17, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Evan was born in Odessa, Texas to parents Ana Tercero and Salavador Lopez Jr. on December 2, 2008. Evan was an amazingly unique human.  He was loving, kind, funny, honest, trustworthy, passionate about the environment and the conservation of animals. Evan had an array of interests that included Star Wars, Marvel and DC comics, Jurassic Park, Stranger Things and loved playing Dungeons and Dragons every week.  He planned to be a zoologist since the age of 8 and never wavered in this goal.  He lived his life authentically, which made him so brave.  Our planet lost an ally the day he passed.  He is a remarkable son to his parents and an amazing brother, cousin, and friend.

Evan is preceded in death by his grandmother Elisama Tercero.

Evan is survived and loved by his mother Ana Tercero, father and stepmother: Salvador Lopez Jr. and Mandy Munoz, brothers: Isaiah Lopez and Cade Roberts, sisters: Bella Lopez and Emma Roberts, grandparents: Maria and Salvador Lopez, Jesus Tercero, aunts: Tanya Lopez, Arizve Lopez, Claudia Beish, and Maria Armendariz, and cousins: Paloma, Jazmin, Miguel, Caleb, Jonathan, Natalie, Chris and Andrew.
