Evelyn was born in Moran, Shackleford County, Texas on July 25, 1912, to Robert and Wessie Adair. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband R.E. Weber, and brother Clifford Newton Adair.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lyn Owen and husband Doug of Kermit, Texas and Gail Kinney and husband Pat of Odessa, Texas; one daughter by choice Connie Phillips of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren Paul Owen of Crane, Texas, Gregg Bailey of Odessa, Texas, Dana Owen Tillema of Friendswood, Texas, Kelli Rozell of Denver, Colorado, Becky Farmelo of Las Vegas, Nevada, LaRhonda Sestric of Odessa, Texas, Patricia Kemp of Odessa, Texas, Lorinda Hightower of Odessa, Texas, and Amy Craft of Dallas, Texas; sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister by choice Mary Wheeler Steen of Dallas, Texas.

Evelyn graduated from Moran High School in 1929. She and R.E. dated from 1932 until they married on December 4, 1940. She was a devoted caregiver to her invalid mother until her mothers death in 1958. Evelyn was a life-long member of the First Christian Church.

She hosted the student ministers from TCU every Sunday after church for a fried chicken dinner. The Dean of TCU Seminary, Dr. Morgan, was a frequent guest at her table, and once the TCU Chancellor, Dr. Sadler was a welcome guest after preaching at her small church. She was well known for being a wonderful cook.

She and R.E. left Moran, Texas in December 1955 after the lumberyard closed, and moved to Snyder, Texas for R.E. to begin work in the lumberyard there. In 1969, they moved to Colorado City, Texas. R.E. passed away in 1988, and Evelyn continued to live in Colorado City until December 2000. Though she missed her flower beds and house decorating, she moved to live with her two daughters due to health problems.

We were all blessed to have been loved by her. She was a fun-loving. gentle, generous, caring lady. The light has dimmed here on earth, but has brightened in Heaven.
