"Dad… Your life was a blessing; your memory a treasure. You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure."
Faustino (Tino) Pompa Larrea was born in Ordway, Colorado on July 29, 1929 and received his heavenly wings on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He lived most of his years in Odessa, TX when at the age of 17, Tino met and married the love of his life, Aurora Bersosa Larrea.

Dad was our hero with a history of survival. He grew up in poverty, but he had a vision of one day getting out of it through his hardworking ethics. Through many times of struggles, he established and owned Tino's Carpet Repair and Installation. He worked long hours laying carpet to provide for his family during the mid-50's. He was known as the founding carpet layer of Odessa when carpet was considered a luxury item in homes and businesses. He employed and trained the first crew of much needed carpet layers who went on to establish their own carpet businesses. He was a strategic mathematician and could measure homes and huge building areas in a matter of hours. Dad was also well known in the horse racing arenas and loved his horses. He laid carpet on his knees, but at night, he was on his knees giving thanks to God for every blessing he had. He learned that through hard work he could own a home, a car, a boat and provide college education for his children. His biggest asset, however was his heart of gold. He helped family members, friends and churches he attended throughout his life. He was loved by many and will eternally be missed.
