Faye Waldrop, 88, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Grand Prairie.
Visitation will be Friday, March 2 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home with Jesse Gore officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Faye was born in Nimrod, Texas to Joseph and Ottie Coleman on June 27, 1929. She attended school at Putnam, Texas. She married Bill Waldrop on January 11, 1952 in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from Putnam High School. She worked as a telephone operator and later as a bookkeeper for National Plumbing Company. She was involved at First Baptist Church, Odessa and loved to sew.
Faye is preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Marie Waldrop, her husband, Bill Waldrop, and parents, Joe and Ottie Coleman.
She is survived by one son, Joe Waldrop, of Abilene, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Russ Pounds, of Grand Prairie, Texas; her sister, Doris Wheeler, of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan Bekavac, of Dallas, Texas; Jake Waldrop, of Katy, Texas; Mason Pounds, of San Antonio, Texas; and Kasey Pounds, of Grand Prairie, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
