Filiberto Garza

Filiberto Diaz Garza, 60, of Odessa, TX, passed away March 5, 2013, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born August 22, 1952 to Paul and Maria Garza in Presidio, TX.

Phil is survived by his fiancee Teresa Jarmon, siblings Paul, Alfonso, and Alonzo Garza and Caroline Ramirez, children Julia Cleveland, Lori Zurita, Beto Garza, Anthony Garza, Margaret Robles, Adrian Garza, Andrea Fierro, Daniel Garza and 20 loving grandchildren and extended family. Phil was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sylvia and Lupita Garza, and daughters Victoria and Amy Garza.

Phil loved hard work and started his career as a welder with his father. He was a very well known car salesman for many years and entrepreneur owning various businesses throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed music, playing guitar and singing for over 30 years as a part of his ministry to the church. Phil was always there to help his family and friends at the drop of a hat wherever he was needed.

A special thank you to the Medical Center doctors and staff along with Texas Tech family doctors for their loving care and support. Also thank you to Sunset Memorial for all of the arrangements.

Funeral services for Phil will be at St. Marys Catholic Church in Odessa, TX at 12:30pm on Thursday March 7, 2013. Phil will be laid to rest at the Ector County Cemetery in Odessa, TX.
