Flor Castillo De Villa

Flor Maria Castillo De Villa, 48, of Odessa, passed away July 29, 2021, in Wichita, Kansas.

Flor was born in Ojinaga, Mexico on June 14, 1973, to Maria Guadalupe Olivas Orona and Domingo Castillo Jimenez. She was the eldest child and had 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She moved to Odessa in 1991 and raised her four children there with her husband, Ramon Alvarado Villa. Flor was known for her big heart and her ability to make others feel at home. She took pride in teaching her children how to cook, clean, and create a comfortable welcoming home.

Flor is preceded in death by her father, Domingo Castillo Jimenez, and brothers, Mariano Castillo and Martin Castillo.

She is survived by her husband, Ramon Alvarado Villa; daughters, Haritzel Villa & Stephanie Villa; sons, Dominic Villa & Ramon Villa Jr.; grandchildren, Zayven Porras, Jayden Villa, Dalaina Villa, Kayson Porras, Domely Villa, Adelaide Moreno, and one on the way; mother, Maria Guadalupe Olivas Orona; brothers, Victor Manuel Castillo & Jorge Castillo; sisters, Luz Elena Castillo & Maria Guadalupe Cruz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Flor was strong and selfless. She weathered life’s storms and always kept a smile on her face. Even when she was struggling, she made sure to comfort those around her and put others needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6th from 11 am to 8 pm and Saturday, August 7th from 11 am to 2 pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Odessa.

Funeral Services will take place Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 2 pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
