He served in his church as a deacon, greeter, Sunday School teacher and training union director. He loved to grow plants and people. His flower garden was the envy of the neighborhood. He got a big chuckle when a neighbors little girl came to his yard to pick flowers for her mother. He loved to show you how its done. Our family has had the blessing to be guided by his loving hands. We have lost someone great the caliber of which was our guide, We have lost our sage and our mentor. His infectious smile and laughter made our hearts lighter. It was a blessing to be able to celebrate his 90th birthday with all of his extended family.
