Frank Miller

Frank Lee Miller, 63, passed peacefully in his home in Gardendale, Texas on November 18, 2021.

Frank entered this world November 18, 1958, the fourth of five children born to GH Miller and Lexie Jackson Miller.

Frank was a life-long resident of Odessa, Texas. He attended several Odessa schools including Reagan, Hays, and Rusk Elementary before transferring to Blackshear where he completed his education. Frank had many fond memories of the kindness shown to him by his favorite teachers Eleanor Mason and Kay Clark, and bus drivers Rita Standefer and Walter Spence.

Frank lived a full and rich life. He was an active member of the ARC and an athlete in the Special Olympics. He worked for CEI, INC for 17 years where he had many duties, but his favorite task was riding “shotgun” with the truckers. Frank was a founding member of Gardendale Christian Fellowship where he faithfully attended and served for over 30 years.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents; GH and Lexie Miller, and his brother-in-law Randy Greene.

Frank is survived by his siblings, Becky Cagle; Greg Miller and wife Kayla Miller; Linda Greene; Leslie Broadwell and spouse Shelly Unger; niece Kristi Condry and husband Ski; niece Kim Greene and spouse Kenny Luna; nephew Matt Cagle and wife Alison; nephew Jason Cagle and wife Michelle; nephew Gregory Miller; nephew Jeffrey Miller; nephew Alex Broadwell; nephew Jonathan Greene; his 13 great-nieces and nephews; and many beloved cousins.

Frank and the family wish to extend special thanks and recognition to Rick Bryant and Marcella Carter Bassett for the friendship and kindness shown to Frank.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2021, at 10 am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Wade Welch of Gardendale Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Eulogies will be presented by Frank’s nephew, Pastor Matt Cagle of Wylie Bible Church in Wylie, Texas and Frank’s beloved cousin Ann Hanks Franklin of Lubbock, Texas.

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Frank’s nephews; Matt Cagle, Jason Cagle, Gregory Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Alex Broadwell, and Ski Condry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Evan and Christopher Condry.

Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics and Odessa Christmas in Action.
