Frankie Millican

January 6, 1943 — February 5, 2016

Frankie Sue Millican, 73 years of age, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on February 5, 2016 at her home after a valiant fight with cancer.

Frankie was born on January 6, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas to the parents of Ben and Daphene Polk Howell. Known by her family and friends as "TuTa" which was a nickname given to her by her sister Vonda. She grew up in Post, TX where she graduated from Post High School. Frankie was a member of the band and was an amazing drummer. While standing at the water fountain in high school she met Rusty Millican who later became her loving husband on November 20, 1960. They recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Frankie loved the Lord, loved life and loved her family and friends. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family, and friends; including an attitude that there was always room for one more. Her kind spirit touched many around her in many ways. She leaves her husband, sons and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved.

Frankie had an unwavering love for the Lord and was a member of Life Challenge. Where she enjoyed serving the Lord and being known as a prayer warrior.
Frankie described life as "Every day is a gift and that's why they call it the present!"

Frankie leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her beloved husband Rusty Millican, sister Vonda Davis and two cherished sons, Dean and wife Kristi Millican, Doug and wife Tracy Millican; Grandchildren-Hilary, Dane, & Claire Millican and Mason Steen. Great Grandchildren- Adyson, Zaiden and Haizen Hollis and Kason Steen. Niece-Rhonda Canell and nephews Kyle Hanson, Jeremy Hatfield & Dylan Farley.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Daphene Dunn, father, Ben Howell and beloved sister, Iris Farley.

The Millican family welcomes her friends and all those that loved her, to join them in celebrating her life at a visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm, Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home located at 6801 E. Hwy 80, Odessa, TX.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 8, 2016 at Life Challenge church located at 4500 N. Grandview Ave. in Odessa with Brother Dan Smelser and Glenn Polk officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Honorary Pallbearer Leno Garcia, Pallbearers will be James Barnes, Ruben Garcia, Ruben Garcia Jr., Miguel Loe Sr., Moses Alvarez, Jessie Franco, Jessie Castaneda Jr., and Yoshi Valenzuela.
