Franklin Dwain Handley, age 82, of Odessa, TX, passed away on December 29, 2017 in Odessa.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jackie Brem officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Dwain was born September 4, 1935 to Jim and Sybil Handley in Bivins, TX. He married Margie Sutton on November 5, 1955 in Wichita Falls, TX. He worked for Sewell Ford Motor Co. for 50 years as a service manager. He loved his job and the Sewell's were like a second family to him. He was happy there all his working years. He was involved in his church and was on the building committee. He loved to help at the church with many jobs and activities.
Dwain was a jack of all trades and could build or fix most anything. He loved working with wood and being outdoors.
Dwain is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Sybil Handley; brothers, J.W. Handley, Charles Handley.
he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margie; son, Bill Handley and wife, Helen; daughter, Melissa Webb and husband, Roger; granddaughter, Krystal Duke; grandson, Gregory Webb and Rosie Webb; great grandsons, Corbin Duke and Tristan Lowery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
