Frederick L. Wallis passed away on April 10, 2018 in Cuero, Texas.
Fred was born in the upper Texas Panhandle community of Phillips, TX on May 22, 1938 to Byron V and Addie Beatrice (Thomas)Wallis. He graduated from Borger High School in 1956, then Texas A&M in 1963 with a Bachelor of Architecture.
Fred was a licensed commercial pilot in single and multi-engine, land, and instrument rated. He was a practicing Architect until his retirement in 2004. After retirement, he pursued his lifelong dream of being a fine arts painter and sculptor.
He was the father of three children, two daughters Valerie Ann, Veronica Lee, and one son, Darren Frederick and three step-children, Carol Jane, Debra Ellan, and Michael Ray Brannan. His beloved wife of thirty years, Margie Jane (Thornton) preceded him in death on October 20, 2000.
Besides his wife, he is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, three brothers, Herman, Eugene and Ron Wallis, two grand-daughters, Tabitha Rives and Aubrie Beach, and two step-children, Carol and Michael.
Fred was a devout Christian, and had a real relationship with God Almighty and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, April 13, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Fred ask that you please give to the Odessa and Midland SPCAs.
