Fredrick John Freddy Rodgers, 49 of Midland, died at his residence after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.

Freddy was born August 2, 1964 in Cabul, Missouri to Linda and Jerry Rodgers. The family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where he was raised by his grandparents John and Maurine Rodgers. He graduated in 1982 from Mayfield High School.
Freddy moved to Midland and later met Rilda Rains they were married in Midland on October 24, 1985. In 1994 the family moved to Klamath Falls, OR where he worked as a construction foreman. He retired due to illness and the family returned to Midland in November 2013.
Freddy was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping and was a big fan of the New York Yankees and the Seattle Seahawks. His greatest joy was his family and was active with his sons in their 4H activities.

Freddy is preceded in death by his parents Linda and Jerry Rodgers and grandparents John and Maurine Rodgers.

Survivors include his wife Rilda their sons, Nick Rodgers and his wife Brittni and their daughter Cadence and Tyler Rodgers all of Midland. His sisters Diane Rodgers of Las Cruces, NM Brenda Riley and husband Delbert of Midland Denise Ortiz and husband Phil of Las Cruces, NM. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
