He started watching the World Series when he was kid, has gone to two World Series games, and only missed watching one series since childhood. He grew up going to Dodgers games and then became a Rangers fan later down the road. Gary also bowled in leagues in Odessa, traveling for state and national tournaments, and bowled two perfect games during that time. Later in life, he became an avid golfer playing almost every Sunday with a large group of friends.
Gary was part of the Odessa Jaycees and Chuck Wagon Gang. He was a machinist by trade, then worked in sales for most of his career. He was a salesman for Graco Oil Field Services for the last 18 years.
