Genaro Alberto Moncayo, 58, of El Paso Texas, passed away on June 19th, 2024, in Odessa, Texas.
Genaro's Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 24th, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Guillerno Morales officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Genaro Moncayo was born in El Paso, Texas, to Genaro Alberto Moncayo and Maria Fernanda Guzman. He received his education in both Mexico and Odessa. Genaro married Eloisa Moncayo and together they had two children, while he was also blessed with five more children.
He was an active member of Casa de Oracion Church, dedicating much of his time to congregation and fellowship. Genaro was known for his generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Above all, he was a deeply spiritual man.
Throughout his career, Genaro worked in various fields including pipe laying, oil field jobs, and as a successful entrepreneur known for his Mexican elote. He had a reputation for generosity, freely sharing what he had with those in need.
Genaro had a remarkable ability to connect with people and made many friends throughout his life. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family.
His passion for sharing the word of the Lord and providing comfort to others reflected his strong faith and compassionate nature. Genaro leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched the lives of many.
Genaro is preceded in death by his father Genaro Alberto Moncayo, his two son’s Genaro Jr, Jesus Abraham, uncle Jorge and Socorro.
Genaro is survived by his wife, Eloisa Moncayo; his children: Madelyn, Aleeyza, Marisela, Jose Luis, Jailinne. Maria; his mother, his siblings: Gladys, Georgina, and Gineve and his three grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

Genaro Moncayo nació en El Paso, Texas, hijo de Genaro Alberto Moncayo y María Fernanda Guzmán. Recibió su educación tanto en México como en Odessa. Genaro se casó con Eloísa Moncayo y juntos tuvieron dos hijos, además de cinco hijos más.
Fue miembro activo de la Iglesia Casa de Oración, dedicando mucho de su tiempo a la congregación y al compañerismo. Genaro era conocido por su generosidad, siempre dispuesto a tender una mano a sus hermanos y hermanas en Cristo. Sobre todo, era un hombre profundamente espiritual.
A lo largo de su carrera, Genaro trabajó en varios campos, incluyendo la instalación de tuberías, trabajos en campos petroleros y como exitoso empresario conocido por su elote mexicano. Tenía una reputación de generosidad, compartiendo libremente lo que tenía con quienes lo necesitaban.
Genaro tenía una notable habilidad para conectar con la gente y hizo muchos amigos a lo largo de su vida. Disfrutaba bailar y pasar tiempo con su familia.
Su pasión por compartir la palabra del Señor y brindar consuelo a otros reflejaba su fuerte fe y naturaleza compasiva. Genaro deja un legado de amor y bondad que tocó las vidas de muchos.
Genaro es precedido en la muerte por su padre, Genaro Alberto Moncayo, sus dos hijos Genaro Jr. y Jesús Abraham, su tío Jorge y Socorro.
Genaro es sobrevivido por su esposa, Eloísa Moncayo; sus hijos: Madelyn, Aleeyza, Marisela, José Luis, Jailinne. María; su madre; sus hermanas: Gladys, Georgina y Gineve; y sus tres nietos, múltiples sobrinas, sobrinos, tíos y tías.
