Obituary for Gerald Dawn Scott Sr. SCOTTY

Born January 28, 1939 Gerald had just turned 70. He passed away at his home peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. A native of Odessa, he attended Crockett and also Odessa High. In 1956 Gerald joined the Navy until 1958 when he married Beverly June Lovell. He and Beverly were married 28 years and raised 4 children. During those years he worked around the country. Scotty as he was known spent 50 years in and around the oil and gas industry, from Texas to Alaska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona, California, Washington State, he was well known in the oil patch. In 1994 Scotty married Marie whom he lost in September 2008. Gerald will be greatly missed by all who new him. Survivors include his children, Charles Scott and wife Barbra of Odessa, Diane Lynch of Mineral Wells, Gerald Scott Jr. and his wife Ronee of Odessa, and Ladonna Phillips of Sacramento California, Brother Wayne Scott of Phoenix Arizona, Sister Sandra Scott of Odessa, nine grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family is scheduled for 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, Feb 21, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Jane Morin officiating.
