Gladys Reich

Gladys Estelle Hopkins Reich, age 89, passed away on May 16, 2011 at Hospice of Midland. She was born to Thomas Gordon Hopkins and Carmen Estelle Jones Hopkins on December 4, 1921 in Petty, Texas. She graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1939.

She married Milbert Bert August Reich on December 9, 1945 in Paris, Texas. In 1950 they moved to Odessa where they raised two sons, Michael Thomas Reich and Patrick E. Reich. Gladys was the 1974 Employee of the Year at the National Bank of Odessa. She retired from the NBO Credit Department in 1984 with over 20 years service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hopkins, her husband Bert, sister Mildred Parker of Odessa, and brother Fred Hopkins of Midland.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Reich, wife Kelli, of San Antonio and Patrick Reich, wife Patricia, of Midland, her sister Jimmie Crain of Paris, Texas, grandchildren Tiffany Faulk, husband Jerry, Jeremy Reich, Ryan Reich, and William Reich, and great grandson Trey Faulk.

Visitation with the family will be at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens
