Glen Hunt

Glen Thomas Hunt, 82, of Odessa died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born November 10, 1927, in Carthage, Texas to Glenn and Juanita Hunt. He was educated in Center, Texas. Mr. Hunt worked in sales for Grant Oil Tool Company. He entered the automobile business in the mid 1950s when he became the sales manager at Hubbard Oldsmobile Cadillac. He moved to Los Angeles, California, where he managed City Ford Company. In 1968 he returned to Odessa and became coowner of University Oldsmobile Cadillac. At the age of 47 he retired and obtained his real estate license and worked as an independent agent in commercial and business real estate. Mr. Hunt was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, a Mason and a Shriner, and was active in the Odessa business community.

Survivors include his wife Teke Hunt of Odessa, children Roy Hunt and wife Susan of Odessa, Wes Hunt and wife Mary of Odessa, Cherry Fennell of Denver, Colorado, Sue Hunt of Elmendorf, Texas, and Tomiebeth Brooks and husband Gary of Weatherford, Texas. Grandchildren Sloane Crume and husband Blake and their son Brandon of Virginia Beach, Virginia Ashley McLaughlin and husband Will of Aledo, Texas and Camille Brooks of Weatherford, Texas two sisters, Maurine Briggs of Austin and Pat Roussell of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Bob Sams officiating. Services will be under the direction of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. Visit our website at sunsetodessa.com to sign the guestbook.
