Glenda Halsell

Glenda Aileen Halsell, age 52, of Odessa, TX, passed away on September 24, 2017 at her home in Odessa.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel located at 6801 E. Business 20 Hwy. in Odessa, TX. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.

Glenda was born April 27, 1965 to Glenn A. Tripp and Margeret (Peggy) Houlihan in Texas City, TX. She married Harry Halsell on April 21, 1990 in Odessa.

Glenda was a lifelong Texan, moving to Odessa in 1982 where she was a filing clerk at the police department for a number of years. She met her husband of 27 years and became a stay at home wife and mother, fulfilling all of the dreams she had for herself, by becoming a wonderful hands on mother to her two boys. Glenda loved animals and had a soft and caring heart for all of God's creatures.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Harry Halsell; two sons, Cory Halsell and Bryan Halsell and wife, Jamie of Odessa; her father, Glenn A Tripp and wife, Jo of San Antonio, TX; her beloved aunt, Kathleen Cochran of Ireland, who was like a mother to her; two sisters, Kathy Goldthorpe and husband, Jeff of Corinth, TX, Jeanette Wingate and husband, Mark of Amarillo, TX and many nieces, nephews and friends.
