Glenda Moore

Glenda Ann Moore, 67, went to be with her Lord & Savior on November 24, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Hico, TX on July 13, 1951 to Glen and Elizabeth Ann (Hickey) Mefford.

Glenda married Royce Aubry Moore on January 14, 1983 in Odessa, TX. She was a long-time childcare employee for local day care centers, retiring from Aladdin's Castle Learning Center, Odessa, TX. Glenda loved children and was passionate in her work with them.

Glenda was a graduate of Permian High School, Class of 1969. She has since been a loyal supporter of her high school and an avid MOJO fan. Her hobbies include crochet and listening to gospel and country music. Including George Strait. She also enjoyed collecting items of black and white cows, crosses and owls.

She is survived by her husband, Royce, daughter Molly Moore, of Odessa, TX and step-son, Royce William Moore of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by her mother, Ann Mefford of Odessa, TX and brothers-in-law, Rickey Moore and his wife Shirley of Odessa, TX and Russell Wheatley and his wife Margaret of Midland, TX. Nephews and nieces include, Brad Campbell, Rachael Haarde, Tamra May, and Tonya Smith and three great-nephews and five great-nieces.

Glenda is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Amber Cheyenne Moore, father Glenn Mefford and her sister Paula Wheatley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
