Surviving
Just hearing that C word
Scares me half to death
My life was spinning downward
My body felt like it was out of breath
I knew that my life was going to change
Youre a coward the way you attack
You make my body feel all strange
But I am here to take it back
Cancer youre a coward
Because you attack from within
You speed up our lives faster
That it should be a sin
I have gotten my inspiration
From real family and friends
You will not get me with your intimidation
I will fight you to the bitter end
Yes cancer you may get to me
Though just mark my word
I know that one day I will be cancer free
That day will be when I walk with the Lord
So try as you may
And do as you might
I am here to stay
Youre in for one hell of a fight
