Guillermo Willie Esparza Galindo went to dwell in the house of the Lord forever on March 3, 2009. He was born on April 21, 1914 in Imperial, Texas to Roman Galindo and Juliana Esparza. He married Maria Santos of Lubbock, Texas on December 18, 1940. The family moved to Odessa in 1947 where he worked for Wm. Cameron, the City of Odessa, in the oilfield and retired from Sivalls. He and his family were charter members of Josephs Catholic Church where they were all involved in church activities.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Santos Galindo; his children, Mary Cecilia Sissy Herrera of Odessa; Virginia Molinar of Magnolia, Texas; Guillermo Billy Santos and Ofelia Galindo of Odessa, Texas and Carolyn Sue and Frank Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Gina Annette Garcia of Magnolia, Texas; Janaan Glynette and Steven Ray Johnson of Odessa; Wm. Eric Molinar of Littleton, Colorado; Donna Lynn Rodriguez of Honolulu, Hawaii; Dawn Charis Molinar of Magnolia, Texas; Wm. Jeremiah and Tanya Galindo of Odessa, Texas; Mandy Ann Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas; Gabriel Anthony and Natalie Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas and Adonica Galindo of Odessa, Texas; great grandchildren, Michael Anthony Garcia, AnnaMariya Garcia, Dominic Lyles Rodriguez, Azure Nyree Johnson, KyLeigh dLyn Johnson, Mia Imani Molinar, Brianna Danielle Galindo, Brianna Renee Rodriguez, and Jonah Van Guillermo Molinar; God Sons, Cipriano Holguin, Paz Molinar and Rodney Roman; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers Manuel Vejil, Ciriaco Galindo, Gabriel Vejil , Jesus Felipe Vejil and best friend Daniel Molinar, Sr.
The family will have visitation on Thursday March 5, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00. Mass will be said on Friday March 6, 2009 at 1:00 at Saint Josephs Catholic Church with Father Mark Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Wm. Jeremiah Galindo, Gabriel Anthony Rodriguez, Carlos Garcia, Dominic Lyles Rodriguez, Michael Anthony Garcia, Frank Rodriguez and Roy Bernard.
We pray Gods blessing on all of our family, friends and neighbors for your thoughtfulness expressed by your wonderful acts of kindness and most of all for your prayers and presence during this time.
