Guillermo Paredes

February 10, 1938 — June 21, 2022

Maxwell

Guillermo Bernardo Paredes passed away peacefully on June 21, 2022, in his home at Maxwell Texas.

He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on February 10th, 1938, son of Timoteo Paredes and Felipa Moreno.

He is survived by his wife, Hortencia Estrella Paredes. Guillermo was a devoted father of five sons including Jesus Guillermo, Omar, Homer, late Gerardo, Edmar and two daughters, Myrna Isela and Norma Judith and numerous grandchildren. He is now reunited with his late brothers and sisters in heaven.

Guillermo's simple pleasures included: family, sitting on his patio admiring nature, horses, listening to corridos, tending his yard, daily visits to HEB, watching sports, poker, and casinos.

He loved a homemade meal cooked by his wife or daughters.

The day of Guillermo's passing he was doing what he loved, working on his yard. He planted eight trees in dedication of his wife and 7 children. One tree for each person that meant the world to him. A Lemon tree for his wife. Two peach trees for his daughters and five pecan trees for his sons. After a long, hot day he came in bathed and enjoyed a hot meal his wife cooked. As he finished his last meal, he walked outside to his porch, admired his trees, and gave his last breath.

Guillermo accepted Christ early on in his life and we know he is in heaven with his son Gerardo.

Guillermo was a very diligent worker throughout his life, a leader, and provider. Guillermo was a very generous man who always offered what he had.

"Necesitas algo?" "¿Tienes hambre?" was his motto. If you ever mentioned a craving, he would run to HEB and buy a handful of the item.

We all have so many memories with Guillermo and they either include him teaching you a life lesson or unstoppable laughter. Many loved him. We will miss him dearly.
