Harold Robertson

Harold Walter Robertson, age 81, of Midland, passed away January 16, 2013 in Midland, Texas.

He was born August 13, 1931 in a farm house near Colorado City, Texas to Virgil Robertson and Angie Lee Denning Robertson. At age seven, his father was killed when a horse reared up and fell on him. He was raised by his Papa, H.W. Robertson. He later moved to Belen, New Mexico where his mother and stepfather, Ben Looper, lived. He met and married Frances Ruth Hill in Belen. They were married 49 years until Frances died on October 30, 1998.

Harold owned and operated a Texaco service station in Belen for a few years prior to going to work for Gas Company of New Mexico. He retired from them in 1993 after 35 years. He was a member of Garden Street Baptist Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Survivors include one brother, John Looper of Portales, New Mexico his children, Harlan and Susan Robertson of Midland, Danny and Candie Robertson of Elko, Nevada three granddaughters, Tanya and Jeff Moore and Amber and Michael Martinez, both of Midland and Stephanie and Steve Crandle of Albuquerque and ten great grandchildren.


Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, New Mexico with Pastor Mickey Eckles, of MidCities Church of Midland, officiating.
