Hazel Callaway

Hazel Belle Callaway, age 93, of Odessa, TX passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, in Odessa. She was born March 18, 1920 in Santa Anna, TX to Edward and Viola Stafford.

Hazel was a long time Odessa resident. Her greatest accomplishment was raising two sons and being a model of integrity and of charity for her grandson. No person or animal could enter her home without being offered a meal.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence Stafford and sister Ozell Parrish. She is survived by sons, David Callaway, Paul Callaway and wife Yvonne, all of Odessa grandson Matthew Callaway and wife Mellissa and one greatgranddaughter, Maggie, all of Norman, OK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Braswell officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff of Parks Methodist and Hospice of Odessa for their loving care.

May the Lord take Hazel in his arms to the place in Heaven he has prepared for her and may He and all the angels and saints welcome her home.
