Hazel Hamett

Hazel Francis Robertson Hamett, age 90, of Crane, Texas passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Crane.

She was a long time resident of Odessa, Texas before moving to Crane in 2002. She was born October 1, 1922 in Cuthand, Texas and was the youngest daughter of nine children of Pete Robertson and Kate Robertson.
She married Morris Lee Hamett in 1941 and he loved and spoiled her until his death in 1986.

Hazel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her son Jerald Hamett and grandson Joey Bradley.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Cockrell and husband Jackie of Houston, daughter, Dona Bradley and husband Ronnie of Midland and son Randy Hamett and wife Marilyn of Midland grandchildren, Renee Hausmann and husband Charles of Victoria Keith Cockrell of Houston, Stacy Bradley and wife Peggy of Odessa, Shana Foley and husband Mike of Houston, Karen Bell and husband Adam of Midland, Ronny Maynard of Victoria and Randy Maynard of Victoria great grandchildren Brex Bradley, Corey Bradley, Ryan Bradley, Kylee Cockrell, Keely Cockrell, Matthew Foley, Jillian Foley, Leah Foley, Trent Bell, Emily Hausmann and Erin Hausmann.

To honor our mothers wishes, a private family service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with the Reverend James Bishop officiating.

We would like to thank the staff at Crane Care Center for taking such good care of our Mother over the past 11 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Hospice, 516 N. Texas, Odessa, Texas 79761, Alzheimers Association or a charity of your choice.
