Helen Owens Freels beloved mother, Nana, sister and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday October 22, 2010 at the age of 67.

Helen Nana was a gentle, kind and loving person who will be dearly missed by all those who where blessed to know her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Herman Edwards and Ruby and Buddy Scroggins, and her beloved pet of 13 years J.J.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children Stanley Wayne Freels Wife Tammy Tillman of Springtown, TX. and Chris Freels of Paradise, TX five grandchildren Mackenzie Freels of Odessa, TX, Ashlyn Freels Shalon Tillman of Springtown, TX. Grayson and Jackson Armstrong of Odessa two sisters Sandra Emerson and husband Warren of Farmington, NM and Kathy Smith of Odessa, TX. two Brothers Richard Edwards of Beaumont, CA. and Wayne Scroggins and wife Brenda of Marshall, TX. numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews second mom Linda Ford of Houston, TX. very dear friends Charlie and Diane Herron of Odessa, TX, and many other dear friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 10am. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Midessa Heights Baptist Church, with Deacons Pete Drennan, Jimmy Maddox and Sam Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be donated to Midessa Heights Baptist Church, 1307 County Road 124 West, Odessa, Texas 79765.
