Helen Kitchens

Helen Ruth Kitchens, age 81, of Odessa, TX, passed away on December 14, 2016 in Odessa.

Funeral Service will be at 1 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Hood, officiating.

Helen was born September 15, 1935 to John Cicero Houston and Ella Ruth (Grimes) Houston in Colorado City, TX. She was raised in Colorado City and attended beauty school in 1976,
graduating in 1977. She married Elmo Jean Kitchens June 6, 1954. They remained married until his passing on February 14, 2001.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Kitchens, her parents, John and Ella Houston, her brother, William Houston and her sister in law, Nita Houston.

She is survived by her daughter, Regenia Brazeal and her husband Daniel of Odessa, her son, Robert Kitchens and his wife Susie of Glenrose, TX, brothers, Junior Houston of Hermleigh, TX,
Charles Houston and his wife Sharon of Mansfield, TX, Ricky Houston and his wife, Susie of Winters, TX, Mike Houston and his wife Bedina of Houston, TX, sister in law, Donna Houston of Odessa, TX,
grandchildren, Rena and her husband Gabe Falcon, Stacy and her husband Blake Jackson, Christina and her husband Lorenzo Robles, Jason and his wife Melanie Kitchens; great grandchildren, Daniel Falcon and Nathaniel Falcon,
Preslee and Easton Jackson, Faith and Berlin Kitchens as well as many nieces and nephews.
